We are looking for volunteers to help remove invasive plant species in the park. Here is a video that Elizabeth Hogan made last year about the invasive species in the park. Invasive species YouTube video Typically, the first half hour of the session is an education session run by Warren County Soil and Water. They talk with the volunteers about the ecology of the forest and help with invasive species identification. Next the volunteers pull invasive species for approximately two hours. Hopefully we can also spend a little time planning some bare root saplings or other trees. Volunteers should wear long sleeves, pants and garden gloves.
