This week our exchange student Lautie will tell us about his year so far in our neck of the woods!  Maybe he will share a little bit about his family back home as well, as did Henrique.
 
Paul Harris Awards were issued last week.  Charla Jennings received her Paul Harris and PP Harrison Freer received his Paul Harris plus two.  Congratulations to both recipients and it is wonderful that they support the RI foundation. 
 
District Day of Service is Saturday May 18.  All Rotarians in the district are being asked to help.  We can do so by helping at the Racetrack in Saratoga.  They need painting and cleaning up in the Backstretch where the summer employees live.  Stay tuned for more info. 
 
Changeover for the district – Saturday June 22 at the Maybee Farm in Rotterdam.  What is this you may ask?  It is a celebration of this year’s rotary presidents and officers and the Current DG Tammy Heckenberg.  We then introduce new presidents, officers and of course our new DG Larry Jones.  Stay tuned for more details.
 
We are selling Fried Dough the following two dates:  May 11 and May 18  Signups are available for May 11 for Jenkinsville Mountain Mayhem Soccer Tournament.  Please consider helping out!  May 18 is the Petfest in City Park.  The Interact club of Glens Falls High School will be helping with this event
 
Getting rid of Clothes?? – reminder that Rotary has a big blue clothing bin located in the Hewitts parking lot on Quaker Rd.  All proceeds go towards the Rotary Gift of Life fund which provides lifesaving heart surgeries for young children.  It is an easy way to donate and help save lives.
 
Don’t forget – PP Art Norton would probably love visitors and cards while he is at The Warren Center recuperating.  He will be back with us before you know it.
