Dust off those old wine glasses!

Have you dreamed of flying to Napa Valley and sampling the beautiful Cabernet and Chardonnay they are so well known for? Well, here is your chance (in the middle of a global pandemic no less!!)! And you don't even have to buy a plane ticket or get out of your pajamas!

The Glens Falls Rotary Club invites you to our Virtual Wine Tasting Experience over Zoom!

We are proud to feature our very own Kathy Grasmeder as your sommelier!

Festivities will start on Wednesday, October 21^st at 7:00 pm!

All Rotarians, including those in your germ bubble, and guests are welcome.

Get ready to experience the splendor of a Napa Valley style wine tasting from the comfort of your own living room, while learning a little more about the type of wine that YOU like!

About your Sommelier!

Kathy Grasmeder is a longtime member of the Glens Falls Rotary Club and is excited to serve as your sommelier for this event!

Kathy has had a passion for wine for as long as she can remember. She has travelled to many regions and has visited countless notable wineries for tasting, including the legendary Alpha Omega Winery as well as Caymus Vineyards in Napa. She also attended the Joe Carr (owner of "Josh" vineyards) demonstration at SUNY Adirondack's Culinary school two years in a row!

Fun Fact: Her favorite wine is the Cederberg Bukettraube from South Africa!

She has attended multiple virtual tastings and is confident she can bring you an incredible experience from the comfort of your own home!

She has chosen the wines and potential pairings very carefully with the help of an expert from our local wine and liquor store, Mohan's, and hopes that you enjoy the selection she has chosen. She is sure there is something for everyone's tastes and hopes that you have as much fun tasting as she had picking them out!

What wines will be featured in the tasting?

Our Featured Wines for this tasting will include:

-Mulderbosch Rose from South Africa

-Bread and Butter Chardonnay from California

-Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais-Villages from France

-7 Moons Red Blend from California

You may buy the wine and pick it up from Mohan's, our contact there is ready and waiting to make sure you have what you need for this experience!

The total cost will be a little less than $50 at Mohan’s for all four. This is around the cost of dinner out for two, or a nice bottle of wine at a restaurant!

Kathy asks that you consider this an experiment – if you don’t like one of the wines, feel free to donate it to a friend!

If you prefer to buy just the whites or just the reds, please feel free to do that as well!

Remember, life is too short to drink wines you don't like!
