Rotary Community Service Scholarship 2013
ROTARY COMMUNITY SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP
Rotarians know that many of our local high school students selflessly provide community service to local organizations and causes. To salute those students, the Rotary Club of Glens Falls has created two new scholarships for graduating seniors from Glens Falls and Queensbury High Schools.
The scholarship award will be in the amount up to $2500 each. The awards may be given to students from one or both schools.
Qualifications for the scholarship are outstanding community service and a minimum B average. The awards are designed to recognize students who have gone above and beyond to serve their community, corresponding to the Rotary motto, “Service Above Self.”
Applications are available through the the schools' Guidance Department beginning in January. All required forms are also available on this website. If you wish to download the required forms you may do so by selecting the forms below:
Completed applications must be emailed no later than March 15, 2013. Please do NOT submit completed applications to the Rotary web site.
Applicants will be asked to meet with a committee of Rotary Club members prior to the final selection. Winners will be announced in May.*
*Children and grandchildren of members of Glens Falls Rotary Club are not eligible.
